To celebrate the distinctive passion of Italians, namely good food, and to help users always find memorable restaurant experiences, TheFork has compiled an exclusive ranking of the 100 most loved restaurants in Italy based on data from the platform which counts 20,000 restaurants in Italy , over 30 million app downloads, 20 million reviews posted by the community, and over 20 million monthly visits.
On the podium L’Architettura del Cibo in Florence, a research food and wine space, Paca in Prato, an elegant and contemporary starred restaurant and Antica Moka in Modena, an enveloping cuisine between tradition and innovation in a historic location with character. The ranking
Lazio is in first place in the region, with 18 restaurants included in the ranking; followed by Piedmont, Tuscany and Lombardy with 12, 10 and 8 restaurants respectively. Rome, on the other hand, is the leading city that hosts the largest number of the most popular venues on the web (17), leaving behind Turin (12), Florence (10) and Milan (8).
A single passion, many opportunities for choice
Food makes everyone feel closer, from north to south to the islands, albeit with different inclinations for their favorite cuisine. The ranking shows how Tuscans, Campanians, Lombards and Lazio concentrate their choice mainly on starred restaurants, while Emilians, Piedmontese and Ligurians let themselves be amazed by more diversified cuisines. The TOP 100 was drawn up taking into account various factors such as the score, reviews, reservations and visits on the restaurant profile, evaluating their performance over the past twelve months.
